According to Thai police, Security forces have shot dead a soldier who went on a gun rampage. The rampage caused the death of 26 people in the Thai city of Nakhon Ratchasima.
The soldier, Jakraphanth Thomma, killed his commanding officer on Saturday. He then proceeded to steal some weapons from the military camp. According to reports, the incident of the gunman began on Saturday at approximately 15:30 local time (8:30 GMT) in the Suatham Phithak military camp.
He killed his commanding officer, Col Anantharot Krasae. Later he then continued his attack on the streets, which led him to the center of the city. He went into a shopping center located in the city’s center known as Korat.
