The Flash is the fastest man on Earth, in the DC universe. A show that has garnered quite a fan following. But just as the Joker has as many fans as Batman, the enemies of Barry Allen, a.k.a. the Flash. Here are the villains ranked from best to worst:
1. Reverse Flash: Season 1
The first season of the show brought about intrigue, mystery, humor, and many surprises. From that was born, arguably the most admirable foe that Barry has ever faced. A foe that not only befriended the hero but created him and trained him. Camouflaged as Dr. Harrison Wells, Eobard Thawne plans an elaborate scheme that spans over a decade enthralling the audience with his mysterious and deadly persona. To be honest, he was unbeatable if it wasn’t for Eddie Thawne.
2. Zoom: Season 2
Zoom came in swinging when the revelation of the multiverse created numerous possibilities. Seemingly unstoppable and much faster than the Flash, it took double the power to stop Zoom, literally. Hiding behind a mask, the villain was in front of the heroes all along, but it took some heartbreaks and deaths to figure out who.

3. Savitar: Season 3
One of the things that make the villains so intriguing in the show is their mysterious appeal. Savitar turned out to be a time remnant of the Flash himself. This was shocking as most of the season was spent trying to save Iris West from getting killed in the near future. The fact that it was a duplicate of Barry, made it all the more twisted. To beat Savitar, another friend had to lose his life in the process. But in the end, he got what was coming to him.
4. DeVoe: Season 4
DeVoe was certainly a formidable foe. Always one step ahead of team Flash, the smartest meta-human on Earth had the upper hand. Wanting to bring the Enlightenment across the globe to return mankind to its unadulterated state, where technology is not an issue. The best way to beat a mastermind is to alter his mind, and Barry figured that out with the help of his new sidekick, Ralph Dibny.
5. Cicada: Season 5
From the five seasons, quite possibly the worst villain is Cicada. Made from the shards of the Enlightenment satellite, an emotionally and physically wounded Orlin Dwyer wants to eliminate every meta-human. With a weapon that weakens every meta-humans abilities, Cicada has the upper hand. On top of it all, the entire season teases how Cicada is the one that got away. But of course, Killer Frost a.k.a. Caitlin Snow’s alter ego is immune to Cicada’s weapon.
As the seasons went on, it seems the foes have downgraded. What started with a bang, has slowly lost its charm. As the years passed, the villains ranked from best to worst in chronological order. However, team Flash has managed to overcome and outdo all the evils and save Central City, some way or another.
