If you’re an individual that pays attention to their surroundings, you may have realized every other laptop you see out in public is likely a Macbook. Whether it be at your local coffee shop or airport terminal, they are everywhere. Chances are you own one too. If you don’t want to blend in with the masses but you still love your Macbook, ColorWare has come up with a solution for you.
The design company ColorWare that was responsible for bringing a retro touch to other Apple products such as the iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iMac, and Magic Mouse has decided to extend their creativity to the latest version of the MacBook. The redesign features simple touches that are reminiscent of Apple products from the 80’s. The most noticeable change is definitely the classic rainbow-colored Apple logo that replaces the illuminated apple. The laptop also features the off white color its older sibling, the Apple IIe, came in.
Fortunately, the internals did not receive the same retro treatment the exterior of the MacBook received. The ColorWare Macbook retains all of its factory internals enabling to operate just as well as any other MacBook. All changes made to laptop were purely aesthetic and do not compromise performance in any way. When opened you’ll see the factory keyboard was retained as well as the factory retina display.
If you’d like one of these custom MacBooks, be prepared to pay for it. The ColorWare MacBook will run you $2,999.99 USD. Even if you happen to have the cash laying around, you’ll have to move quickly. ColorWare will only be making 10 production models, making them not only unique but exclusive as well. Grab yours here before they’re all gone.
