This Can Happen if You Plan third marriage in Pakistan

third marriage

Karachi is Pakistan’s largest city, where an interesting incident took place when a man’s fondness for the third marriage backfired.
In the marriage hall, where the wedding was taking place, the first wife and her family barged in and beat the groom.
The poor groom’s dress was in tatters as soon as the angry relatives of her alleged first wife overcame him. He had to wear the cloth from a catering table before seeking refuge in a nearby police station.
The station house manager of the police station told the media that the tumult arose, following the wedding ceremony was “interrupted” by the presence of the first wife and her brothers. She said the relatives of the bride that he is already married before beating the hell out of him. Some of the attendees called the police immediately.
However, police said it is a civil matter, and for that reason, it cannot file a case. Before allowing both parties to go, the police took a written assurance from both sides that there will be no chaos again.
Yet, as soon as the groom stepped out of the station, the angry relatives of his alleged first wife were waiting to “welcome” him. He had to hide beneath a bus to save his life.
Viral footage on social media depicts the voices like “come out otherwise we’ll burn the buss”. However, after some people’s intervention, things calmed down.
Later the groom told the media that he had already left his first wife, and he was legally marrying again.

What Viral Video Shows!

The viral footage of the incident depicts a woman in black abaya barging into the ceremony, along with a kid of 4 to 5 years. In the midst of the tumult, people ask the angry woman about the matter she is complaining for.
Upon this, the woman tells them that the groom is her husband and the father of the kid. Today he is getting married for the third time, while he told me three days ago that he was going out of the city for some work.

On asking the details, the complaining woman told that she met Asif in the university where he liked her and proposed to her. They got married in 2014. Now, he is getting married for the third time.
The woman’s name is Madiha, and she claimed that her husband got married a second time in 2018.
Madiha told them that his second wife is studying at Jinnah University, and that “I asked her to come along to teach him a lesson, but she was sick. This man gets married at the turn of each year. He should be punished”.
Under the Muslim Marriage Act 1964, it is conditional for a person to seek the approval of the first wife before tying the knot again. In case he gets married without the stipulated permission, the penalty is between 6 months to one year.
In this current incident, the reported third wife and her relatives were unknown about his previous marriages.
