Toronto FC fires head coach Bob Bradley

On June 26, Bob Bradley was terminated from his position as head coach and sporting director of Toronto FC, according to the Major League Soccer club. The team only managed to secure three victories out of 20 games. Bradley, who took over Toronto in November 2021, was relieved of his duties due to a string of poor results that has the club ranked second from the bottom of the Eastern Conference, ahead of only Inter Miami, with a 3-7-10 record (win-loss-draw). Toronto FC President Bill Manning expressed his gratitude towards Bradley, stating that he was a consummate professional with the team and thanking him for his passion and tireless work during his time there. Manning also expressed disappointment that the team was not able to achieve the expected results. Terry Dunfield, who was previously in charge of Toronto FC’s under-17 academy team, has been named interim head coach. Bradley has coached in England, Egypt, Norway, the Netherlands, and five MLS clubs. He was also the head coach of the U.S. men’s national team from 2006-11, leading them to the knockout round of the 2010 World Cup. Steve Keating in Toronto reported this news, which was edited by Christian Radnedge. The Thomson RushHourDaily Trust Principles were followed.
