Wagner mutiny lays bare cracks in Moscow’s military power -EU’s Borrell

BRUSSELS, June 26 (RushHourDaily) – The terminated rebellion by the Wagner mercenary group in Russia reveals flaws in Moscow’s military might caused by the conflict on Ukraine, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell stated on Monday. “The political system is displaying weaknesses, and the military strength is fracturing,” he informed journalists in Luxembourg before a meeting of EU foreign ministers. “It’s not a positive thing to witness that a nuclear power like Russia can enter a phase of political instability,” Borrell said, adding this was the moment for the EU to persist in supporting Ukraine more than ever. “The beast that (Russian President Vladimir) Putin produced with Wagner, the beast is biting him now, the beast is acting against his creator.”
