Fans of The Walking Dead, let out an approving zombie like groan, when AMC announced the show was renewed for a sixth season. No surprise there.
Charlie Collier, president of AMC released a statement to audiences stating, “In advance of Sunday’s season five premiere, AMC proudly confirms a sixth season order of this extraordinary series. Thank you to Robert Kirkman, Scott Gimple, the terrific executive producers, and the entire team who brings this compelling world and these rich characters to life. There’s plenty more Dead ahead thanks to their impressive, collective effort.”
The No. 1 hit drama series on TV, is based off comics written by, Robert Kirkman. The story revolves around a group of survivors who come together after the zombocalypse breaks out and basically destroys the world. There’s zombies eating people, people eating people, people killing people, people killing zombies. Guys we thought we hated, who we end up loving and then hating again. Hero’s who we love then end up hating… then love again… What’s not to like about this show? It’s not a democracy it’s a Rick-ocracy! It’s a show with love, life, blood, guts, death… lots of death… and lets not forget, zombies!
If you’re interested in meeting the cast, head to New York Comic Con this Saturday, starting at 10 am. The cast will be there to answer questions, take photos and celebrate with fans.
The Walking Dead, returns to AMC this Sunday, October 12. Have your zombocalypse plans ready!
