What is The Bleakest Scenario of Humanity? Opinion

The bleakest scenario of humanity is that it is on the verge of collapse. At least, many of the conspiracy theorists believe in it.

According to them, the world order is leading to disarray, descending into a virtual collapse. Under the apparent prosperity of today’s modern world, with advanced technology, is buried poverty, hunger, epidemics, and inequality.

Despite the claims by this age that it is the most humane of all the preceding generations, the fact remains the contemporary world suffers from more inequality than it existed in those societies lived before us.

Another bleakest scenario of the humanity of this age is that it is deceptive: for it is not what it claims to be.

For instance, take the concepts of free will and liberty. It is said that man is free since the abolishment of slavery.

However, the apparent truth that Abraham Lincoln’s abolishment of slavery in the nineteenth century is the biggest lie of the modern era.

In reality, man is as bound in chains, as he was before the abolition of slavery. It might be invisible to the naked eye, but the chain exists. The institution of slavery has changed its name. Now it is known as the corporate world.

Besides, if slavery was all about the exploitation of humanity, how the civilized age could claim to be exalted from the degradations of those exploitations now? Especially when you have capitalism as your economic system.

The next is the peace that the world claims to have achieved after the two bloodiest World Wars and the formation of the United Nations.

Let’s talk about peace and, which is found more frequently in the United Nations charters than the rest of the world combined.

The man never had, during any phase of the ancient or medieval phase of history, possessed more lethal weapons than it possesses in today’s peaceful world.

This partly exposes man’s claims of being peaceful. No need to tell that the nuclear weapons tend to serve for nations, what the leash of a dog serves for the animal.

It is the fear of total extinction that has tamed the modern man into this most “civilized” form.

Now let us talk about political advancement and the concept of the welfare state. They are a sham too.

Since the times of the ancient Greeks, who guided the posterity to democratic ideals, the concept of state has revolutionized. In any case, the journey has been far from being progress.

Democracy has since degenerated into an idea that suited the elite at the expense of the people at large. In a not-so-euphemistic way, modernity has reduced “democracy” into an idea that has learned to use elections to justify the totalitarianism of an elite group.

The bleakest scenario of humanity is that it is regressing since its evolution. It is turning to a world that is nostalgiac about its old self, without sweating to achieve its past glories.

Any signs of optimism are made foggy by the fact that the world order has been too institutionalized to be eluded. Anyone seeking to drift away from the expected beliefs about the dominant social and political behaviors is considered an outlaw.
