“Wonder Woman” Found New Director

Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment wasted no time to find a new director for the highly anticipated film “Wonder Woman.” Just two days after announcing that Michelle MaClaren has departed from the project the production companies have announced the new director. It appears that Patty Jenkins will be the new director for the upcoming “Wonder Woman” movie.

Jenkins had the opportunity to be the first female director for a super hero movie before “Wonder Woman.” Jenkins was supposed to direct the sequel to Thor in 2011, but she left the project due to creative differences. Also, if she had directed “Thor: The Dark World” she would not have been able to direct a DC movie. DC and Marvel are their biggest competitors, so they need their own directors for their super hero movies. Maybe one day the comic books heroes will all get along.

Jenkins is an Emmy nominated director and she has also directed and wrote the movie “Monster.” So, Jenkins can bring out the best out of her actors since Charlize Theron won an Oscar for starring in “Monster.” With Jenkins already in the director’s chair only two days after MacLaren left this would give the film the time it needs to be able to be released on its June of 2017 release date. Gal Gadot will still be making her appearance in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” which is to premiere next year.

Jenkins seems more like an Amazonian warrior than an Asgard God anyway. Just give her the Lasso of Truth and a camera.
