Total Solar eclipse occurs when the Moon completely covers the Sun, and Partial eclipse shows the Moon partially covers the sun. 2019 had a total of 3 solar eclipses with the first one on January 6 is a partial solar eclipse, but the second that occurred on July 2 was a total solar eclipse.
