Aquaman is Just What the Doctor Ordered for the DCEU

Posted on: 17 Dec 2018

There is a lot riding on Warner Bros.’ newest upcoming release Aquaman because the future of the DC Cinematic Universe is hanging in the balance since the critical and financial disappointment of Justice League last November. And from the movies prior, only Wonder Woman was a hit both financially and critically. And, the Amazonian Warrior Princess’ big screen debut was the only one to sit well with critics, earning a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. But that is the point we have come to- let the critics and Rotten Tomatoes tell us if…

The MLB’s Market for Relief Pitchers is Starting to Come to Fruition

Posted on: 13 Dec 2018

The MLB Hot Stove is finally starting to get more heat, as trades are being made, and the ones that haven’t yet, are in intensifying talks. And on the side, we are starting to see the reliever market begin to set itself, with key signings being made just recently. Jeurys Familia and Joe Kelly are the big names who have found new homes while Jordan Lyles, who is more low-key, has found one as well. Charlie Morton is another name to be signed, and while he isn’t technically a reliever,…

The Los Angeles Lakers’ Patience is Starting to Pay Off

Posted on: 12 Dec 2018

It was always going to be a process for the Los Angeles Lakers this season. A brand new team with a handful addition of new veterans, including bringing aboard LeBron James, was always going to take time for the young Lakers, and head coach Luke Walton, to get acclimated to. The younger guys had never played with a player of James’ caliber, so they have not to learn to play the off-ball slashing style of game necessary to adapt. Nor were they the greatest of shooters. Not to mention, the…

The Dodgers May Finally Move Yasiel Puig This Winter

Posted on: 09 Dec 2018

Yasiel Puig’s future in Los Angeles has long been a topic of discussion surrounding the Dodgers. He has been a polarizing figure since he broke into the league back in 2013, playing with flair and antics which the old-schooled savants of the game did not appreciate. As a rookie, he hit .319/.391/.534 with 19 home runs in 104 and helped propel a struggling Dodgers team into the playoffs. And he followed up his stellar debut campaign with an All-Star season in 2014. And because of his play, his behavior and…

The Washington Nationals May Be the Latest “Contract Year” Victim

Posted on: 06 Dec 2018

The Washington Nationals made the first big free agent signing of the offseason, and it did not involve re-signing Bryce Harper. Instead, they handed $140 million over six years to left-hander Patrick Corbin. It was a surprise to many because all the noise had the 29-year-old going to either the Philadelphia Phillies or (more likely) his hometown New York Yankees. But, according to Jack Curry, Corbin priced himself out of New York’s range by looking for “Darvish Money”- in reference to Yu Darvish’s six years, $126 million deal from last winter.…
