A 93 years old man, along with his wife, 88, tested positive for the coronavirus a month ago, However, both of them made it to the recovery as per the hospital officials have said.

The couple who lives in the southern region of the Kerala state got this infection from their family members. As per the reports, they had returned from Italy. The reports add that their son and law and daughter came from Italy and brought the infection.

As per the reports on this Wednesday, there are reportedly 1,238 cases regarding COVID-19.

Among whom, there are a total number of 123 recoveries and 35 deaths.

The news of the recovery of the elderly couple has blown the internet. This is because the couple was also suffering from other health issues because of aging. The man already had diabetes and had hypertension, which was a fatal signal in case of infection.

Many of the doctors advised putting the man on a ventilator for a whole day before expecting approval for the full recovery.

According to Dr. RP Renjin, one of the professionals at Kottayam Medical College Hospital, when both of them arrived at the hospital, they were challenging to handle.

The professionals at the hospital made sure to keep them separate in the ICU. However, they found two rooms with a glass partition separating the rooms for keeping them.

Moreover, Renjin said, “They were happy once we put them there.” He also added that the staff liked both of them and referred them affectionately as “father and mother.”

Their son in law and daughter was the reason for the spread of the infection to the elderly couple. Additionally, the couple (recently returned from Italy) made headlines for their irresponsible screening skip that they did at the airport at the time of arrival.

Irrespective of the tracking of the officials, they had already infected their family members.
