Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen will not be participating in Denmark’s upcoming Euro 2024 qualifying games. Hojlund sustained a hamstring injury during Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Luton Town, while Eriksen suffered a knee injury in the first half. Manchester United already had eight players sidelined due to injuries for that game. Despite Hojlund’s impressive performance in the Champions League match against Copenhagen FC, where he scored two goals in United’s 4-3 loss, the team is currently sixth in the Premier League standings, experiencing their worst start to a season since 1962. Denmark will be facing Slovenia on Friday and Northern Ireland on Monday. Both Denmark and Slovenia are tied at the top of Group H in Euro qualifying with 19 points, but Denmark is in second place based on goal difference.
