The famous actress, Kelly Preston, who is the wife of John Travolta, has died at the age of 57 on Monday. His husband confirmed the news in an Instagram post, which said that she had been battling breast cancer.
For nearly 29 years, the amazing couple had been married. Kelly’s career included roles in Jerry Maguire, Twins, From Dusk till Dawn, and The Cat in the Hat. She also collaborated with her husband Travolta on Old Dogs and Battlefield Earth.
In his emotional Instagram post, his husband thanked the health workers who took care of Kelly as well as her loved ones and friends who have been by her side during hard times.

In January 2009, Jett Travolta, the couple’s son, died at an early age of 16 from a seizure during a family holiday in the Bahamas. Ella Bleu and Benjamin are the two other children. Ella also took to Instagram to pay tribute to her mother. The post said, “I have never met anyone as courageous, strong, beautiful, and loving as you.”
According to the People’s magazine, Kelly died on Sunday morning and that she also kept her breast cancer diagnoses private. The former actress had been going through medical treatment for some time with the support of friends and loved ones, the family representatives said.
Many Hollywood stars paid tribute to the late actress, Russel Crowe was among them, who took to twitter and said that Preston was a lovely person and a ‘’sparkly-eyed gem’’. Responding to Travolta’s post, Singer Mariah Carey also responded, saying that she was “sending so much love to you and your family in this heartbreaking moment.”
Other tributes came from Josh Gad and Maria Shriver, with Josh saying that he was in absolute shock. In her 2018 crime biopic Gotti, in which she appeared opposite to her husband, was her last screen role. She also spoke to reporters at the Cannes Film Festival about the long relationship with her husband.
