On North London’s new Music walk of fame, Amy Winehouse has been honored with a stone. She has been honored nearly a decade after her tragic death. Mitch and Janis, parents of Amy Winehouse, were invited to the ceremony, and they have attended and said it a “tremendous accolade and a privilege”. Camden is known as the star’s main stomping base, and lots of fans regularly show their respect outside Camden’s previous house. Amy Winehouse’s father, Mitch, said that Amy loved Camden, and now she is an essential part of the streets. He also said that it is a beautiful tribute to his daughter, but it also reminds us once again that Amy is not here. In 2006, Amy Winehouse achieved international acclaim for her second album back to black. She won multiple Grammy and Brit awards.

Why did she leave us?

After achieving all the fame and awards, she has painfully ended her life. She was too early to leave this world. She was struggling with drug and alcohol abuse. The imprisonment of her husband, Blake Fielder, also came into light with the charges of assault and obstruction of the justice process. It has also been heard that she kicked out drugs and started work on her third album, but the star was found dead in 2011 at her own home. Investigators found that the twenty-seven years old star, Amy Winehouse dies of accidental poisoning.

Her plans for films

Her family has set up a foundation in her name after her death in order to help people who are suffering from drug addiction problems. Last Wednesday, the music walk of fame was organized by a fundraiser in order to boost the charity. His father, Mitch Winehouse, said that the work of this foundation had helped him since his daughter passed away. He also added, “Amy’s up there, and she says to me, ‘Get out of bed, Dad, you’ve got work to do. It’s another legacy.”

Apart from this ceremony, Mitch has also hinted that in the coming months, they are going to celebrate the star Amy Winehouse’s musical legacy.

Mitch Winehouse was a cab driver previously. Asif Kapadia has made the Oscar-winning documentary film about Amy Winehouse’s life and career. Mitch has disowned the documentary and said that Asif Kapadia had painted a spiteful, negative, and misleading picture of her daughter Amy.

He also said that that film was horrible, and her portrayed impression showed that she was all on her own. But in reality, she was surrounded by people who adored her. And fans need to understand that.
