Chadwick Boseman, the American actor, who is best known for his role in the hit Marvel franchise ‘The Black Panther’, has died at the age of 43 on Saturday. A statement posted on social media confirmed the news and added that Boseman died at his residence in Los Angeles.
Nearly four years ago, Hollywood’s megastar was diagnosed with colon cancer, however, he had not made the news public. His unfortunate has left millions of fans across the world stunned. Meanwhile, the director of ‘Get Out’ described his death as “a crushing blow”.

The family’s statement further added Chadwick was a true fighter and preserved through it all and brought his fans several projects. The lesser-known fact is that many of his films were filmed during chemotherapy and countless surgeries, including ‘Da 5 Bloods’ and ‘Black Bottom.’
Boseman rose to fame after plating prominent historic Black figures – soul singer James Brown, and basketball legend Jackie Robinson. However, the outstanding actor will be fondly remembered his hit 2018 Marvel film.
Black Panther was an instant hit and earned more than 1.3 billion worldwide. Not only that, but it also won critical appraise. Besides, the film was a big cultural cast with a predominantly black cast and a black director as well.
Last year, Boseman said while talking to media that the film has changed his perception of being young, gifted, and black. His film also became the first superhero film to get the best picture nomination at the Academy-awards.
According to reports, a sequel of the film was also under production, which was set to release in 2022. However, many fans had already started questioning his health since last year, primarily because of surprising weight loss.
The news of his death has shocked nearly everyone as he never discussed his illness in public. Meanwhile, many big names have already started pouring in, including fellow Marvel star Mark Ruffalo. Political figures, including the Democratic vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris, also took to Twitter to pay tribute to the late actor.
