Court Decides to Dimiss Lawsuit Filed Against President Obama and his Immigration Reform Practices

The recent case that was against President Obama for his actions of aiding illegal Americans in this country has recently been dropped. Obama’s initial goal was to protect all of the illegal immigrants who are working in this country. He granted them protection from immigration, so they could indeed file for citizenship and legal work permits. He made conditions of course for these immigrants to obtain legal paperwork, which include that they must have been living in this country for over five years, have a permanent residence, or they must have a child who was born in America.

This paperwork would not permanently establish these illegal immigrants in our country, and the work permits were aimed to last three years, so they could have time to gain citizenship.

Joseph Arpaio, who is a sheriff in Arizona, originally filed the case because he felt that President Obama’s actions did not serve the United States constitution.

The court found in favor of President Obama and stated that, “The Supreme Court and Congress have made clear that federal officials can set priorities in enforcing our immigration laws, and the actions announced by the president are consistent with those taken by administrations of both parties for the last half century.”

President Obama has faced a lot of criticism over his terms, but this attempt to make illegal citizens able to work legally in this country shows that he is a leader who cares for its country, and wants what is best for it’s people.
