Sometimes, when you’re alarm sounds around 7am, it can be hard to muster the energy to actually get out of bed. Leaving your house early enough to make it to your yoga session before work can be a doozy, and everyone has those days when they’d rather just turn their alarm off and go back to sleep. Getting up early however can be worth it, and here are four reasons why.
1) You’re more productive
Getting up and out of bed early gives you more time to do things you normally wouldn’t have the time to do. If you feel like snoozing your alarm, think of all the things you’ll accomplish if you just hop out of bed and start your day. Everyone wishes there were more hours in a day, but waking up early is almost like creating extra hours for yourself.
2) You aren’t rushed
Nothing’s worse than having to rush around because you got up later than you planned. Getting up early means you have the luxury of relaxing before you have to leave the house. Taking the time to pick out a nice outfit or watch some Netflix makes your day way more relaxed.
3) You have time to make a healthy breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and when you’re rushing out the door you don’t have time to prepare a healthy meal. Getting up early means there’s enough time to whip up some eggs and cut up some fruit. Pushing those covers off and springing out of bed at 6am does have it’s benefits, especially if you love cooking nice, healthy meals.
4) You start the day right
While waking up early can be tiresome and annoying, when your alarm sounds, in the end it’s worth it. You may be tired at first but after washing your face and getting ready for the day, you’ll be happy you were so productive, and you’ll soon realize that rising with the sun is actually a great way to start your day.
