A gingerbread monolith mysteriously appeared in a park in San Francisco on Christmas, much to the delight of the residents as they received this sweet surprise on a festive day. The monolith was similar to the ones seen across the world in recent weeks, only this time it wasn’t metal, but the mysterious object appeared to be made of gingerbread. The gingerbread monolith appeared in Corona Heights Park in San Francisco. Ironically, the name of the place coincides with the pandemic which is prevailing in the world.

What’s more interesting is that this is not the only one. Before this, a monolith mysteriously appeared and then disappeared in a desert in Utah, which was reported on November 23, 2020. Unlike the gingerbread monolith, that one was a metallic monolith, which appeared out of nowhere. The metal monolith was shimmering and stood straight dug deep into the ground in the Red Rock Desert.
Utah Monolith Appearance: How it all started?
The monolith was found by chance by the wildlife officials in the area on November 18, when the crew was doing a helicopter round to count the bighorn sheep in the area. However, there were reports that the monolith has been there for more than 4 years, as derived from Google earth pictures. The officials though deemed it illegally placed in public land.
When officials posted on social media about their discovery with minimum details, they didn’t expect that the internet sleuths will find out the location of the site easily. However, that happened and they geo-located the structure and posted the coordinates online, which enabled adventurers and others to reach the monolith in a race to be the first one to reach the mysterious structure. In two days’ time, the internet was flooded with pictures of people posing happily with the monolith. ‘David Surber’, an amateur adventurer, traveled through the night when he got the news and reached the monolith in the remote southeastern desert in Utah. He posted pictures and videos with the monolith claiming to be the first one to reach. However, to everyone’s surprise, the monolith disappeared two weeks later.
Two more Monoliths disappeared
After the Utah monolith discovery, another monolith appeared mysteriously on a Romanian Hillside. The news of its discovery became viral and later, that too disappeared. Coinciding with its disappearance, another phallic landmark statue in Germany disappeared, and the local police are investigating the matter.
