Hennessey Performance, the same company that brought us the insane, record-breaking, Venom GT, is celebrating its 25th anniversary. To commemorate the special day, Hennessey has unveiled a special edition of the HPE800, which is based on a Ford Mustang GT350.
The special edition comes with the standard 5.0-litre Coyote V8, however, it has quite a few enhancements. A few of these enhancements include but are not limited to a new 2.9-litre supercharger, significant improvements to the car’s fuel and intake systems. This allows the car to achieve a massive 804-hp which propels the car 0-60 in just 3.1 seconds. If you have enough straight tarmac available the HPE800 will continue on to reach speeds north of 200-mph.
To differentiate its self from the rest of the HPE800s on the road, the anniversary edition receives some subtle aesthetic touches. The most consisting of special badging indicating the model number and that it is indeed a special edition. Another being a Boss-302-esque decal on the side of the car that has the words “Hennessey 25 years” incorporated into it.
Staying with the theme of 25, Hennessey has reported they will only be building 25 units of the anniversary edition, which are sure to go fast. If you do manage to get your hands on one, you’ll have the body option of a coupe or convertible and the drivetrain option of automatic or manual transmission.
