Sunday is the first day of the week. It’s the day before the ever-dreaded Monday morning, but the day after that wild Saturday night. Sunday is a strange lull between work and play. Most people spend Sundays either going to church early, or sleeping in until noon. Starting off the week right is important, so try these five Sunday ‘Funday’ activities; their sure to keep you nice and relaxed.
1) Cook a big breakfast
Indulging in a home cooked breakfast is nearly impossible during the week when you’re rushing to work or class and barely have time to grab a granola bar before running out the door. Use your expansive Sunday morning to whip out your skillet and cook up a few waffles, some eggs and of course, bacon.
2) Watch a movie
After breakfast grab your fluffiest pillow and a giant duvet, and snuggle up on the couch with a movie (Perks of Being a Wallflower or Harry Potter are highly recommended).
3) Take a nap
After your movie—since you’ll most likely still be on the couch—why not take a nap? Sunday is hands down the best day of the week to nap. Since Sunday’s are usually pretty open, obligation wise, four-hour naps are completely acceptable.
4) Shop Online
Use your free time to buy some new clothes—or whatever else may be on your current wish list. Listen to music, and browse through the Bloomingdales website. Just try not to max out your credit card.
5) Read
Finally pick up a book you haven’t had time to read in a while, and become immersed in it’s printed pages. Reading is a luxury that many people don’t have the time or attention span for anymore. Sunday is your chance to relax, unwind and prepare for the week ahead.
