Many joke about the fact that Leonardo DiCaprio has yet to win an Oscar, but this multi talented actor may finally earn himself an Academy Award as he is about to take on his biggest “roles” yet.
The new film project is based upon the 1981 novel “The Minds of Billy Milligan,” written by Daniel Keyes. Based on the trial of Billy Milligan, Milligan was the first man to plead not guilty because he suffered from multiple personality disorder.
The film is entitled “The Crowded Room,” and DiCaprio may be challenged with one of the most difficult roles of his career. Milligan was a convicted man who reportedly suffered from having 24 separate personalities. He was charged with two incidents of rape and robbery in the 1970s.
While many believe that DiCaprio’s Oscar winning role is well over due, the actor continues to impress fans with his talent, and just because the actor has never won an award does not mean he is not worthy of critical acclaim.
DiCaprio will also be appearing in the Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu film “The Revenant”, which will be released this year.
