In 2010, comedian Louis C.K. made headlines when he took to Twitter to voice some drunken opinions towards Sarah Palin, while the comedian was on a plane.
The material that C.K. wrote to Palin was some of the most vulgar material that he has ever written or said, and while C.K. has showed remorse for his actions by deleting his twitter account, it took the comedian almost five years to full apologize for his drunken rant.
The two ran into each other at the “Saturday Night Live” 40th anniversary after party, where Palin approached C.K., and told him that she thought he was “terrific” and “really funny,” and that was the moment that C.K. knew he had to address the past and make amends with the politician.
C.K. apologized for his actions, in which after Palin jokingly stated, “Well, you’re a vile person,” causing C.K. to smile, and indicated the moment that he knew he and the political were ok.
In a recent interview with Howard Stern, C.K. expressed how he has never apologized for anything in his life, but he felt that needed to be done. The two joked and expressed how they find Palin attractive and would both like to have relations with her.
Meanwhile, during an interview between Sarah Palin and People Magazine, the politician claims that she did not even remember the incident, and only remembered it because a light was shined upon it once again.
She states, “I had to ask C.K. what it was he was apologizing for. …C.K. explained he’d said some things about me and was sorry, and went on with such a nice, humble apology. I laughed and said he didn’t need to apologize, for I hadn’t even heard it. Then I teased him that, ‘If you really did say nasty things about me, well, then you’re the only person to have ever said mean things about me, so for shame!’ “
