Pundits Infuriated over Private Meeting Between Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch

Before the release of the State Department’s Benghazi report, which concluded that Hillary Clinton put her own ambitions against federal law, former president of the United States Bill Clinton met in private with the Attorney General Loretta Lynch at the Phoenix Airport. The meeting holds a bad rep for the Democratic committee and Republicans are citing this meeting as evidence into a corrupt administration that is looking out for the better of their party.

The Washington Post cites that the polling of the Hillary Clinton email scandal shows that a majority of the public believes Clinton ‘lied’ and withheld information from her emails over to the State Department. They also believe the Clinton administration is ‘dishonest.’  The Wall Street Journal poll released earlier in the week calculates that only 25 percent of registered voters see Clinton as honest and straight forward. The news of Bill Clinton’s meeting has taken the internet by storm and will likely decrease voter’s perception of Clinton’s honesty.  “I did see President Clinton at the Phoenix airport as he was leaving and spoke to myself and my husband on the plane,” Lynch said. “Our conversation was a great deal about grandchildren, it was primarily social about our travels and he mentioned golf he played in Phoenix.” Lynch also acknowledged that it was ‘perfectly reasonable’ to be asked about their encounter and said that she will cooperate fully with the FBI investigation. Lynch’s State Department is continuing its investigation of Hillary Clinton’s Lynch said the email probe is “being handled by career investigators and career agents who always follow the facts and the law.” The private meeting has many people wondering why it would even take place regardless of the context given the situation Clinton is facing with the FBI which may include a possible indictment.

The Democrats have had a horrible week after it looked like Donald Trump’s campaign was losing ground. A recent Quinnipiac University poll put Clinton and Trump neck and neck and a Rasmussen poll released the next day tagged Trump winning against Clinton at 43% to 39%. This finding also comes off a week that included the private meeting and the harrowing Benghazi report.
