Seattle police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two suspects involved in a shooting at the Garfield Community Center on May 18. The first suspect is described as a Black teenage male wearing an orange hoodie, and his car is a white sedan. The second suspect is also a Black teenage male wearing a black hoodie and gray Air Jordans. The two suspects engaged in a physical altercation before the shooting occurred. The suspect in the orange hoodie fired multiple shots from the white sedan, while the suspect in the black hoodie pointed a gun at the car before fleeing towards the baseball field. A 19-year-old was injured in the shooting and taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred near Garfield High School, prompting a closed-door safety meeting for parents and staff to address their concerns with city and school district leaders. The Seattle police department is asking for help from the public to help locate two suspects in a shooting that occurred at Garfield Community Center in Seattle, Washington on May 6th.

According to the Seattle Police Department, at 6:45pm on Saturday, May 6th, one of the two suspects walked up to a 32-year-old man and two children who were playing basketball at the Garfield Community Center and opened fire. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.

The suspects have been described as two young African American men, both wearing face masks at the time of the shooting. The Seattle Police Department is asking anyone with any information about the identity of the suspects to contact them.

In addition to the public’s help, the Seattle Police Department is utilizing many of their own resources to locate the suspects. They are digging through surveillance footage, using witness accounts, and are looking for any live cameras in the area in order to help them with their investigation.

This troubling incident serves as a stark reminder of the increasing gun violence in Seattle and the surrounding areas. The Seattle Police Department is urging the community to come forward with any information they may have in order to apprehend the suspects and put an end to the gun violence in the area.
