ESL is really getting around these days. Sony announced today that they are partnering up with ESL to bring a month-long NBA 2K17 PlayStation tournament.
The tournament is called The PlayStation Tournament and will run from the 27th of October through the 26th of November with planned “Major Cup rounds” every Saturday. Should you be ballin’ hard enough to get into the top three at the end of the tournament, you’ll get a pack filled with things like PlayStation Gear and controllers.
To participate, all you need is the game, a PlayStation Plus subscription and an ESL account. Once you register for the tournament, you’ll get an email once you’re ready to compete. No announcement on the player pool has been announced yet but all we know is that the matches will be 1-on-1. Sony is reportedly planning to change things up in future tournaments of this kind.
This tournament comes months after Microsoft revealed its Xbox Live Tournament Platform at GDC as well as the recent partnership between FaceIt and ESL for future tournaments.
