Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min expressed his support for Richarlison, stating that the club will continue to back the Brazilian forward. Richarlison recently announced that he will seek psychological help upon his return to England after being photographed crying on the bench during Brazil’s 5-1 victory over Bolivia in a World Cup qualifier. Despite struggling to secure a starting position, Richarlison has scored five goals in 41 appearances for Spurs since joining from Everton in July last year. His goal against Sheffield United on Saturday marked his first league goal since April. Son emphasized the significance of the game in boosting Richarlison’s confidence and praised his impact on the match. Son also highlighted the importance of supporting each other as a team, referring to the Spurs squad as a family. He expressed his happiness for Richarlison and acknowledged the difference that confidence can make in a player’s performance. Son described Richarlison as a resilient individual with a strong character who can bounce back from tough times, emphasizing the importance of having a supportive environment. Tottenham Hotspur, currently two points behind Manchester City, will face London rivals Arsenal in their next match.
