The newest console systems that are released today, in particularly Xbox One, and the PS4, have progressed from much more than a device used to play your video games. The ability for these consoles to update and continuously upgrade itself leaves you with a device that is potentially capable of anything developers set their minds to.
These console systems have become a staple for entertainment centers, and provide gamers with the ability to create a system that reflects their own personal experience. Users can order a pizza on their Dominos app, listen to music on Pandora while playing their games, or even control their systems by syncing their mobile device creating a second screen to operate, and the best part is almost all of them are free.
While many of these apps were available for the previous generations, the experience has changed. Users never have to quit their games now, and can indeed operate all these apps while playing.
Every time a console comes out people wonder what can eventually be done to one up the experience from the next, but these developers have keep all audiences in mind, and that is why they have become more than a gaming console. People are buying the systems even if they do not play video games because they can use them for literally hundred of other functions. Almost every streaming site has an app on these consoles that make it available for a user to stream directly to their televisions regardless if they have a smart television or not.
We should not forget the fact that the graphics for the games are quiet exquisite, and make the players feel like they are controlling real life. While these systems have been out for a some time now, it is important to understand what PlayStation and Microsoft have accomplished and how they have flourished in exceeding all expectations from everyone, and will continue to with the future development of their software and applications.
