Fast and Furious 9 premiered its trailer after the long wait. It revealed clips of Han Lue (Sung Kang), Sean Boswell (Lucas Black), and Earl (Jason Tobin) appearing in the film.
The 8th installment in 2017, Fate of the Furious ends in New York with Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) starting a new phase of life with his family and baby Bryan. In this 9th Fast saga, Dom and his family go head to head with Jakob Toretto. Jakob is Dom’s younger brother and an assassin working with their old enemy Cipher.
The anticipation for the Fast and Furious 9 or simply F9 leaves fans with some expectations. So, what do fans want to see in F9?
1.The return of Han Lue
This is on the top of the list as many fans reacted fast when the Fast and Furious 9’s trailer revealed the surprise return of Han Lue.
In the Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Han Lue, Dom’s team member, was believed to have been killed. The question fans want to get an answer: How did Han survive getting blown up after a car crash?
2.John Cena’s antagonist role as Dom’s brother
Professional wrestler John Cena steps in as Dominic Toretto’s younger brother. The story spin of the assassin brother antagonizing his brother makes the fans curious how Cena would portray the role.
3. Which world destination would Fast and Furious 9 takes the audience this time?
Fast and Furious have brought us to many places. Watching the Fast sagas brought us to different places in Los Angeles. The car race took us to the extensive highway of Key West, Florida. Then to the Canary Islands, Spain, for some tanking explosion.
We even raced in Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo, watching Fast and Furious 6th installment. We’ve enjoyed seeing the luxurious places in Abu Dhabi. The Fast saga took us to the Pikes Peak, Colorado, and travel to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
It did some street racing in Havana, Cuba. And do some submarine sinking in the cold water of
Iceland and took us to the streets and building the landscape of New York.
4. What other cars would they feature this time?
We’ve seen a lot of the 70s and 90s car. One of the favorites of the car fanatics to see is the muscle car. What other muscle cars are we going to see this time? And what car Dom would be using a lot in this 9th saga?
Some fans even want to see electric cars go fast and furious in the movie.
5.Death and whimsical explosions
We’ve seen cars, buses, chopper, oil trucks, fighter tanks, trains, and submarine in Fast movie installments. What type of vehicle would be showcased in this F9 installment?
Which transport vehicle will they explode this time? And who would be leaving his role in the Fast saga?
6. Who’s going to do a cameo role?
Would it be Keannu Reeves whose name we’ve heard before that he might be a part of the movie?
7. Would there be superpowers included in the story?
Sci-fi and superpowers have been trending in movies. So, some also look forward if Fast and Furious 9 would join the trend.
8.Should be better than Hobbs & Shaw
Sorry, the fans couldn’t help but compare. As Hobbs & Shaw was a spin-off of the Fast saga. In this movie, Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) save the world together. Its box office gross to over $760 million worldwide.
Fast and Furious 9 is directed by Justin Lin and written by Daniel Casey. F9 is set for U.S. theatrical release for May 22, 2020, by Universal Pictures.
The Fast movie franchise already runs for more than a decade. Eventually, it already made $4-6billion worldwide.
F9 is still upcoming, but fans have already been asking about Fast and Furious 10. Whether F10 would be the last one of the Fast saga, and whether it would be a female lead spin-off, only time will tell.
