5 Reasons to Visit Norway

Norway –one of the happiest places in the world, full of fjords, lakes, mountains, museums, and numerous attraction sites. The crime rate is low, the people are friendly, and if you ever get the chance, you should visit this country and marvel at its natural beauty. Here are a couple of great reasons to visit Norway.

  1. Seven Sisters Waterfall, Geirangerfjorden

One of the most picturesque places in the whole of Norway. Seven waterfalls descend to the fjord at an average height of about 250 meters, and this group of waterfalls is a spectacular sight.

The best time to visit is between May and July when the largest amount of water flows through these waterfalls because of the melting snow. Cliffs surround them, and in front of them, there is a single waterfall that, according to legend, is a boy who unsuccessfully tried to seduce the seven sisters that played on the slopes of the mountain.

  1. Tromsdalen Kirker, Ishavskatedralen

Tromsdalen Church, “The Arctic Cathedral”, is one of the symbols of the city of Tromsø. Tromsø is the most popular destination in northern Norway. There you can see the polar light and ride a cable car that rises almost 1,400 meters above sea level and provides a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the sea.

The church was built in 1965, and it is affectionately referred to as a cathedral because of its imposing look. Architect Jan Inge Hovig designed it, and the famous glass mural by Victor Sparre was added in 1972. The appearance of this church is often compared to the Opera building in Sydney.

  1. Atlanterhavsparken, Ålesundu

Just a few minutes drive from the center of Ålesund there is the famous marine aquarium. Since its opening in 1998, the aquarium in Ålesund is one of the unique marine aquariums not just in Europe, but in the entire world.

  1. Renndølsetra, Innerdalen

Innerdalen is a valley in northern Norway, and the first nature reserve in this country declared in 1967. This area is especially appealing to mountaineers, but other tourists also enjoy the old moss-covered wooden huts that dot the region.

This 165-meter high waterfall is located in the Odda region, southeast of Bergen. A well-known tourist attraction, this waterfall is specific in that two streams descend from Lake Lotevatnet to reunite in a mighty torrent that goes under the Norwegian National Road number 13.
