While Arnold Schwarzenegger can be seen in the newest trailer for “Terminator Genisys,” it has been confirmed that Schwarzenegger has already signed on to reprise his role in the sequel to the upcoming film.
Meanwhile Harrison Ford has confirmed that he will be reprising his role of Deckard from the classic cult film “Blade Runner.” While the original films of these two series are cult classics many wonder how long these actors can go on reprising their roles.
Many watch sequels because they want to continue the story, but many have commented that sequels like “Terminator 3” or “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” were OK in their own way, but feel that it may be time for some of these actors to retire the characters and let people remember the movies for what they were originally.
We all know that actors like Ford, and even Bruce Willis can act and play different roles when needed, but it still seems that every few years we are seeing another “Die Hard” preview hitting the theaters. Making us say “Another one?”
As long as people continue to watch these films, they will continue to be made and the actors will continue to portray these iconic roles. Frankly it’s great for them, it most likely gives them a sense of youth and lets them relive the glory days.
