Five Ways to Look Put Together on Christmas Morning

Christmas morning always dawns bright and early. Key word: early. While your seven-year-old cousin may enjoy waking up at 6 a.m. to see exactly what Santa brought him, you really don’t. In honor of the Christmas spirit, however, you’ll willingly rise before the sun to open presents (at least it’s for a good cause right?). Impressing all the family you barely get to see that early in the morning can be difficult. These six tips, however, can help you avoid looking like a zombie risen from the dead. Maybe this year you’ll at least appear put together to your extended fam…

1) Shower right before bed

No one and nothing will wait for you to shower on Christmas morning, especially once everyone is up and ready to open gifts. Shower the night before to avoid looking extremely disheveled in all the pictures your mom is sure to take.

 2) Pick out cute PJS

Instead of just throwing on sweats and your biggest stained t-shirt, take a little extra time to pick out a nice pajama ensemble. Your dark grey Hardtail yoga pants and your Victoria’s Secret PJ shirt are perfect when paired together. Throw on your favorite bathrobe for a more casual vibe.

3) Wash your face

Washing your face first thing in the morning can leave you feeling, and looking, rejuvenated. You’ll be looking radiant after a nice scrub.

4) Brush your hair

This takes all of one minute, and will leave your hair looking lustrous. Do you have the kind of curly hair that makes brushes scream in protest? Throw it back in a French braid, or accessorize with a cute tribal headband. Whatever you decide to do it’s sure to brighten up your mood and appearance.

 5) Get a cup of coffee

Finally, grab a fresh cup of coffee to wake yourself up. Once you’ve got the good stuff (cream and sugar included of course) you can finally sit down to your heaping pile of presents feeling awake and looking fresh (fingers crossed Santa didn’t forget that Kate Spade Tote).
