Manchester United comfortably win 4-0 against Leeds

Manchester united defeat Leeds

After the nine-day stay in Australia, Manchester United got a 4-0 win against its old rivals Leeds United. Its rivalry with Leeds was quite prominent on the clubs’ pre-season tour of Australia. Their supporters got engaged in throwing punches and kicking each other in the stands on Wednesday night. After two minutes close range, Mason Greenwood, 17, opened the scoring. Before the half-time, Marcus Rashford offered another to the scoreboard and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer composed 11 changes.

Anthony Martial’s penalty changed the scoring in front of 55274 visitors.

Mason’s the man

The Belgian’s absence can only heap on talk about his future. Mason Greenwood’s performance encourages the increasing number of people around the Old Trafford camp. And they feel their position can be better if served by letting Lukaku join Inter Milan. Mason at his very early age, when he was six years old, he joined Manchester United Coaching camp in West Yorkshire. Since then, his improvements are quite impressive.

During speaking to an English media on Tuesday in the team hotel, Solskjaer mentioned Mason’s talents, especially his two-footed nature and ability to find space quickly. “A natural finisher, a natural footballer,” was the Norwegian’s pay-off”.

Pogba shines

Paul Pogba also has a great contribution for the premier league side. He offered the pass for Wan-Bissaka to properly set up Mason and went close with three prominent shots from the corner of the area as he showed his class against the under-strength opponents.

Club sources are immovable and they believe Pogba will stay at Old Trafford beyond the closing of coming month’s transfer window. The midfielder’s agent Mino Raiola did not have proper information about the Frenchman’s short-term intentions. Noticing at his midfield options, Pogba is needed because of Scott, Andreas Pereira and McTominay do not offer required inspiration without Pogba.

It was the second goal of Rashford like his many pre-season goals.

Leeds poorly beaten

Manager Marcelo Bielsa left to fly to Australia. On Tuesday, he landed in Perth after near about forty-eight hours. The 16-man squad that was minus all the new signings, incorporating Helder Costa, apart from midfielder Jack Harrison, who spent last season at Elland Road.

Another thing that was not appreciated by their fans and associates that Bielsa preferred to watch Tuesday’s training session via the internet as he was in airborne. During the game, the manager brought his famous bucket to sit on yet the team could not play well against Manchester United.

Martial scored the fourth goal offered by the penalty. This penalty was given by Liam Cooper’s reckless slide into Tahith Chong.

The arch rivalry between Manchester United and Leeds recalls some of the darkest days of England’s trouble with football hooliganism.

It was ended with a comfortable win of Manchester United. Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Phil Jones and Anthony Martial were the main contributors to made it possible and proud Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Tuesday, Manchester United set off for Singapore to play Inter Milan on Saturday.
