Mother Mary Rezaian Pleads for Her Son’s Release

No parent can handle a child being away, but for Mary Rezaian, her son Jason Rezaian, a journalist of The Washington Post, is pleading with Iran leaders to release her son from Iran jail.

He suffers from chronic eye infections that have gone untreated for that past few months of his captivity. His loving family fears that there will be permanent damage. There is no mattress in his cell and he is forced to sleep on a cold stone floor, which causes severe back pain.

Jason’s brother, Ali Rezaian states via The Washington Post, “Never has a Western journalist been held this long. It’s taking a devastating toll on him, physically and mentally.”
