Another intertwining movie will be coming your way, and the holiday this time? Mother’s Day. First, there was Valentine’s Day then there was New Year’s Eve and now there will be Mother’s Day. Gary Marshall is behind this film again and he was the one behind the previous two holiday films.
Julia Roberts is attached to the project as of right now, as is Jennifer Aniston along with other huge stars like Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis. More big stars might be on the way as well if it is to be the same as the previous films.
The script was written by Lily Hollander and Anya Kochoff-Romano, and PalmStar Media will be financing the film. Producers will include Kevin Frakes, Mike Karz and Wayne Rice while the executive producer will be Ankur Rungta. It will begin shooting in August.
The last two films have done well at the box office. Valentine’s Day, the first of the holiday movies, was able to earn $216 million. New Year’s Eve, successor to the first film, was able to earn $142 million. Not as much as the first, but it still was able to make more than the $65 million budget for the film.
