Many women have a love affair with Target. What’s not to love? It has everything you would want from most of your favorite stores all in one place and puts you in a great mood. Consider how many trips you often make to Target, even for the smallest things. Consider how often you leave there with more than just what you went in for. Now think about the times you found yourself roaming their aisles with nothing in specific you were looking for. Trips to Target are occasionally something to look forward to or something to do late at night during the week when there is nothing else low key you’d want to do. Case in point, its convenient, comfortable and affordable.
Target caters to your time frame, and for the most part, suits your schedule. It’s open early and closes late throughout the week. The discount retailer knows that its target audience –pun intended- works and wants to shop for a load of things they need during different hours of the day. Many of their stores open at 8AM and some even close around midnight –every day except Sunday. Sure, many employees may not be too pleased with that, but you are sure to find several aisles still scanning purchases up until closing time.
Additionally, Target offers such a great environment that sometimes people go just to lighten their mood. The store is inviting on several grounds. First of all, the lighting and red to white color contrast are bright and can make almost anyone happy. Then there is the set up of the aisles –they are spacy and for the most part neatly and conveniently organized. Shopping in a store that is clear of clutter and where most items are easy to find would turn many people to it. Target’s way is seemingly more inviting and comfortable than certain other well-known American discount retailers.
Moreover, everything you’ll need for daily living is all in this one spot, and that’s a good enough reason to make a Target run –maybe once a week. They have a wide array of book choices and their monthly featured “club picks” are very popular with readers. The cute fashion is also a lure –they have basics as well as fun styles for every age, size and maternity level. Then there are the aisles filled with an assortment of makeup, movies, toys and electronics –and they even have a pharmacy. Plus, their grocery sections will make your local supermarket look like a complete and total bore. The seasonal items also add to Target’s inevitable charm. Currently, the outdoor equipment, activity supplies and decorations will help turn hibernators into nature and outdoor enthusiasts. On top of all this Target’s cheap prices -and the fact that there’s usually a Starbucks nestled in one- rationalize your constant trips.
You may think it’s sad to say that you find Target exciting –but you are not the only one holding that feeling. Sure, you went in for a box of tampons and came out an hour later with Oreos, Jenga, a new yoga mat and “GoodFellas” on Blu-ray. Although many women find the need to make excuses to go there, when it comes to Target, no justification is necessary.
