First we lost George Clooney, now we loose Benedict Cumberbatch… well I guess we still have Liam Hemsworth, Gerard Butler and Chris Evans right?
The announcement of Cumberbatch and Sophia Hunter was reported in the Times as a traditional wedding announcement. Cue sighs of adorableness!
The announcement stated:
“The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cumberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katharine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London.”
The couple have kept a very low profile about their relationship and were only reported to be dating earlier this year. They are both private people. Hunter who is also an actress and director, typically keeps to the stage. They first met while co-acting in Burlesque Fairytales.
