Windows 10 is Here With a New Start (Literally)

The return of the Start button has returned to Windows 10, yes, Windows 10, not 9. They say that the improvement is so big it had to skip a digit. The software will be of use to several devices such as PCs, tablets, mobile devices and Xbox consoles.

Due to heavy criticism over the previous version, Windows 8, Microsoft went to back to the drawing board in order to satisfy users, instead of confuse them. Businesses are typically the majority of users and usually give a new operating system some time to stew before bringing it on board. However, Windows 8 was not as desired as Microsoft anticipated, due to its unrecognizable differences. Trying to work out the kinks and address all needs, they have designed the new version to have aspects of Windows 7, which are more familiar to costumers and will help with the transition.

The use of live tiles will continue in Windows 10, but this time the tiles will be more manageable and size efficient. The customer now has control as to how big or small the tile needs to be. It is designed to be a dashboard; updating users on useful information such as new emails, Facebook notifications or weather alerts. Multitasking is now a trend as the user is able to operate several applications at once. It comes with a new snapping feature that is mindful of space. The new system allows users to keep an eye on battery life and how much the program is costing them. It comes with a user-friendlier search feature that not only pulls info from your computer but the Internet as well.

The software is still in beta but is expected to be released to the public in 2015.
